A website offering advice for people who are struggling to find a job, or to choose a career path. The site also discusses, courses, redundancy, further training etc. Ideal for those who are dissatisfied with their current work situation looking for some information and/or guidance.  



National Careers Service (Direct Gov)

Find Careers, Learning and Skills Advice.  A service which allows the user to create a free online account to store their c.v., qualifications, and receive regular careers updates based on their needs. Call 0800 100 900 to speak to a careers advisor.



 Career’s Helpline for Young People (formerly Connexions Direct)

A site designed for 13-19 year olds providing advice about career’s and learning. There is also the option to contact a careers advisor by webchat, email, or texting as well as over the phone.  Helpline 0800 100 900. Text 07766 413219.

DHP Scotland Ltd

Offers free training courses in self employment for eligible participants who are currently on benefits.  Courses run in the following areas: Ayrshire; Borders; Dumfries & Galloway; Dunbartonshire; Edinburgh & Lothian; Forth Valley and Glasgow.  Courses are designed to help you explore self-employment options.
